INTRODUCTION
The MUET Paper 3 exam
aims to test student's comprehension of the information given in various text
types. Candidates are tested not only on what is actually stated in the text
but also on what can be inferred from the information given in the text. The texts
given in the exam will vary in type, length and level of complexity and
may be sourced from journals, newspaper and magazinearticles, academic texts
and electronic texts. To date at least one of the texts includes a graphic
stimuli such as a table, a chart or a graph. The following skills will be
assessed when candidates take the reading paper.
